The story
OpenAI's milestone award for organisations that pass a cumulative API token threshold. A precision-milled anodized-aluminium "token" with the embossed OpenAI blossom, set in a heavy block of frosted transparent resin, personalised with the organisation's name. Three tiers: Silver for 10 billion tokens, Black for 100 billion, Blue for 1 trillion. The first batch was handed out at DevDay 2025 and shipped to other eligible organisations afterwards. It comes in a white box with a card: "A piece to display with pride, bound to generate conversation."
What stands out
It turns an invisible usage metric into a physical token. The tiers change only the coin colour, so the shape becomes the recognisable icon and the colour signals the level.
