The story
To thank its staff for launching FigJam, its whiteboarding tool (2021), Figma commissioned Studio Elana Schlenker to make a keepsake. The studio designed a vase straight out of the FigJam interface. Two panels of glossy violet acrylic are cut in FigJam's wavy, stacked squiggle shape and perforated with a grid of dots like the canvas, and a red acrylic block holds them apart so a bunch of flowers sits in between. Underneath, a clear flower-shaped stamp reads FigJam EST. 2021. It shipped with a die-cut flower card in a mailer that's plain kraft outside and patterned inside. Emco Industrial Plastics made the vases. Tiers: Outstanding.
What stands out
Turn the interface into an object. A vase cut from the product's own shapes and dot grid is a launch memento only that team could have.
