The story
The official plush version of Clawd, the pixel mascot of Claude Code, made by Anthropic. It's a boxy, flat-topped body in short orange fleece with stubby arms out to the sides, four short legs and two black pixel eyes, so it reads like the terminal sprite turned into fabric. It comes in five styles: plain (Happy), Scientist with goggles, a grey lab coat and a blue flask, Cowboy with a brown hat, Wizard with a blue star hat and a star wand, and Sunglasses with black pixel shades. Anthropic first gave it out in person, for example at the Code with Claude developer conference in May 2026, and from June 2026 it posted it to Claude Code's heaviest users in a power-user kit: the plush, a cap with the pixel mascot, a pin, stickers and a card reading 'We're making it official: you're a Claude Code power user.' The big public drop was an easter egg on claude.dev, Anthropic's new developer site, which launched on September 30, 2026. Typing /plushies in the site's built-in terminal opened a free redemption form: no purchase needed, 18+, one per person, while supplies last, with fulfilment by Brilliant and a random style. A /stickers command gave a Claude Code sticker pack the same way. It ran out within hours on October 1, and the terminal now answers 'All claimed for now. Thanks for the love.' Plushies shipped in mid-October, and the unboxing posts followed. It isn't sold anywhere: plush Clawds on fan shops such as claudeplush.com are unofficial. Tiers: Crafted.
What stands out
Hide the reward where your fans already are. A slash command in a developer site's terminal turned a mascot plush into a treasure hunt that sold out in hours.
